This 7 day sailing trip is one of my favourite ways to spend a week. Come early summer and you experience the fantastic birdlife - puffins, shearwaters, diving gannets and much more. Then late summer, the minke whales and basking sharks arrive, which are always a thrill to find.
The last trip saw good sailing conditions. Force 5 or 6 winds are ideal for the traditional wooden 60ft yacht so we made good progress, visiting the islands of Eigg, Rum and Skye before reaching my home port of Inverie in Knoydart
